Bec is an award winning CEO and Marketer that blends strategic, commercial and executional excellence with sharp intuition. She has been transforming businesses and brands, spanning many industry verticals, for more than 20 years.

Her true passion lies in entrepreneurial environments, crafting clear vision, effective strategy and exemplary execution to ensure businesses thrive and grow to new levels. She loves looking under the hood and solving complex business problems that result in outstanding commercial outcomes.

Bec was awarded Woman of the Year, B&T Women in Media, 2016 and Winner of the Marketing Category in the same year. Listed in Campaign Asia 40 Under 40 in 2017 and B&T’s Women in Power List, 2016. Upon graduation from the University of NSW, she was the Winner of the Unilever Marketing Scholarship for her Bachelor of Commerce, Marketing degree, recording a distinction average.

Holding numerous executive c-suite roles, Bec led the Merkle group of performance, data and tech businesses in Australia. She spent 6 years as CEO of Columbus, a data driven marketing agency, doubling it in size from 50 to over 120 people to become the largest in Australia. Under her leadership and strategy, the business delivered outstanding results for Australia’s most recognised brands. Highly awarded with over 61 innovative market-firsts and more than 50 award wins and shortlistings, some of the most prestigious being Google’s Agency of the year 2018 and Microsoft’s Global Advertising Agency of the Year, 2019.

Prior to Columbus, in her role as General Manager, Bec led the business expansion of Reprise taking it from 5 to 55 people in 18 months. She has held a Chief Marketing Officer role at Dentsu and senior Marketing roles at ninemsn, News Digital Media and TNT Magazine (The Guardian) in the UK. This combination of client and agency experience has given Bec an innate understanding of the entire value chain.

At the age of 26, Bec bravely purchased her first business in the middle of the GFC – a bistro. In partnership with her husband as Head Chef, the unprofitable business turned into a highly profitable, thriving inner city destination within 6 months. It was here that her entreprenuerial drive for business grew deeper and she’s been refining her skillset & business discipline model ever since. “Outstanding … the size of the lunch crowd would have had many CBD eateries drooling” – The Daily Telegraph. "4 out of 5 stars" - The Sunday Telegraph

Whether it’s a business of 10, 50 or 200 people, Bec knows the business stages required to transition and grow. Holding a reputation for high performance in driving revenue & building businesses, she credits the successes to her tried and tested model, developed & refined for the past 10 years. To grow a business is a difficult journey. Growing sustainability an even tougher one and she has done this many times over in her professional career.

Passionate about mentorship and coaching, Bec invests in helping people realise their full potential. Her inspirational leadership has led to talent in her team moving on to become Managing Directors, General Managers, Head of Departments or Founders of their own businesses.

Bec is also a media commentator, board director, industry judge and speaker. She’s average at yoga, a terrible cook and has an obsession with collecting boxes.

If you think you might like to work with her to realise your vision, she’d love to invite you for a cuppa.
